Regular Pap tests, supplemented by appropriate HPV testing, will detect virtually all pre-cancerous changes and cervical cancers, and cervical cancer is completely preventable if pre-cancerous cell changes are detected and treated early. And considering that we can’t exactly look down and examine the cervix by ourselves, it makes it extra important to get that routine exam!
