Naughty Nails Art Contest!

Lovelies, we’re going to get serious for a moment. Did you know, it is estimated that 70% of women and men will come into contact with human papillomavirus during their life? That’s the group of viruses that can lead to cervical cancer!

Regular Pap tests, supplemented by appropriate HPV testing, will detect virtually all pre-cancerous changes and cervical cancers, and cervical cancer is completely preventable if pre-cancerous cell changes are detected and treated early. And considering that we can’t exactly look down and examine the cervix by ourselves, it makes it extra important to get that routine exam! You can find out more information at the National Cervic Cancer Coalition site about the virus and how to prevent it.

The lovely ladies of Sassy Nails, Lena Loves Nails, Frugal Polish and myself decided to have a fun nail contest. And since January is National Cervical Cancer Awareness month, we wanted to tie them together. How? With naughty nail art of course!

So we present to you, The Don’t Be A Dick To Your Cervix Giveaway! The name is cheeky but the topic is fun and it’s for a great awareness! Read on to see what AMAZING sponsors and UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC prizes we have lined up for you! And even if you don't do nail art, read on because you can still win!

Don't do nail art? Don't despair! We have 7 prizes, two of which will be awarded to Rafflecopter entries only, without needing an art entry! The other 5 will be based on art and judged by the hosts.

Now, for the seriously awesome prizes. These prizes are so fabulous I wish I could enter to win one! Do you SEE that sponsor list and the incredible indie polish makers on it?? Well here they are!

The prizes:
First Place is the whole 50 Shades of Grey Collection by Different Dimension.
Second Place is the new Valentines Collection by Candii Polish.
Third will be polishes from Glitter Me This.
Fourth will be three polishes from Shimmer Polish.
Fifth
will be two polishes from datyorkLOVES (named by our very own Lena!).
Sixth and Seventh will be 1 polish decided by the hosts from either Above The Curve, or Darling Diva Polish.

Important stuff to take note of:
Contest runs from 1/14/13 - 1/25/13
Winners will be announced all host blogs as well as Facebooks
Winners must email Lena (lenalovesnails@gmail.com) by 1/30/13

Rules are in the poster image above so be sure to read them!

***If you are going to do the art portion of this you still need to follow/like all the hosts and sponsors. The Rafflecoptor entry is the very last one and it will ask you for a link. If you do not have a blog to where your entry will be located then you can come and post your entry on the EVENT WALL Lena’s Facebook page and get the URL that way. You can easily find the event highlighted on her page. If you want to post it on your own Facebook profile or something it has to be public so we can all see it. If you are unable to do any of those you can email it to Lena but please try to do the others! Lena will upload it and email you back a URL to where it is that you will have to enter into the RC widget.

  6. I just wanted to add really quickly that I had an abnormal pap in 2000 that resulted in surgery to remove the affected area of my cervix. I was young and if I hadn't known the importance of regular pap smears, it wouldn't have been caught early, before it became something serious like cancer. Thank you to you and your fellow sponsors for raising awareness of this important issue!
