Color Club & Nfu-Oh!

Hello, my lovelies!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July! I spent the weekend trekking around DC and visiting landmarks with a friend who was in from out of state. My mani was a simple red, white and blue nails. I was so busy leading up to the fourth that I didn't have much time for a fun mani, but I couldn't have naked nails for the holiday!

But now, I have a combo for you that I am in love with. It's a very fall look, and I'll definitely have to wear it again.

The base is Color Club Slow Jam, a deep plummy-brown with golden shimmer. I usually don't wear too dark of colors, as I think they age my hands, and I was thinking this might be too dark. But it was pretty on its own, and then I layered Nfu-Oh 44 over it. Holy smokes! It's so gorgeous I can hardly take my eyes off of it. Nfu-Oh 44 is a gorgeous orange flakie in an orange jelly base. And their bottles are the coolest, hands down. I love the corset shape! Over the Slow Jam, this shines and twinkles and is just ridiculously beautiful. Both had a nice application, and I used two coats of Slow Jam, with one coat of 44, and topped with Out The Door.

Color Club can be found at a number of retailers and runs about $8 a bottle. Nfu-Oh can be found online at places like Ninja Polish, (and maybe a few brick and mortar stores, I'm not sure) and runs about $10-$12 a bottle.

How do you like my fiery, flakie nails?

  3. Wow - they are awesome! Flakies are hard to pull off sometimes (I think) but those two polishes work extremely well together. The application looks smooth and gorgeous, too.
