Hello, my lovelies! It’s Sunday again. The best thing about
Sundays (for more one week) is that there are two Game of Thrones episodes
left. Just two, and then an agonizingly long wait of 9 months. Luckily, I’ve
read the entire series several times, so I know what happens. Otherwise, the
wait would be even worse.
I had hoped to have more of a review for you this week, but
it just didn’t happen. So instead, I’ll recap some of the manis I wore this
week and recently.
Departing from my usual palette of oranges and warm colors,
this is Zoya Rikki. She’s a metallic, foil green, part of the Summer 2013 Irresistible
line. Zoya formulas are awesome. I almost never have trouble with application,
and Rikki held true. This is three coats.
Another green mani I did this week was Essie Mojito Madness (from
summer 2012) with LynBDesigns Du-Wop. Mojito Madness leans to the yellow end,
and I think it might be a little too yellow for me. I didn’t really like it, so
I added the Du-Wop, which is a blue green glitter with an aqua base, and I
liked it much better after that.
Still in the cool side of things is Zoya Hazel, also from
the Summer 2013 Irresistible line. This is a lovely blue metallic foil with a
touch of green (according to the description but I don’t really see it-it's really silvery blue). This
is three coats.
And back to the warm side of things, Zoya SohoPunch over
Zoya Elodie. Elodie is one of my favorite corals (though it leans a bit more to
the pink side), and Soho Punch is a beautiful, sheer, coral-pink glass fleck. After
I put Soho Punch on though, everything looked a lot more red than I anticipated,
and Soho kind of faded in. Still pretty none the less!
My toes got to wear Sinful Colors Fusion Neon, my favorite
in-your-face-bright neon pink. I think it’s a dupe for China Glaze Flip Flop
Fantasy but I can’t guarantee that. And I didn't take a picture because pictures of feet squick me out, even when nicely maintained and polished.
So what did you wear on your digits this week? Are you
enjoying any bright summer colors?
I love the foil polishes!
